New Leader in Jefferson Proofs

Congratulations to the new top dog in Proof Jeffersons with Varieties. 'Alex and Nan' captured the title with great upgrades over the last few months as top ranked, early Jeffs came to auction. This is a tough series. The history of prior top collectors include our own CarlWohlforth and Corso. This time it will be very rough to outpace. Nice job, Ron.

  • Congrats!

I just noticed that set earlier today. It has lots of PR 68s for the pre-1950 coins. Back in the gold old days when I put together my set (2002) there were only two PR 68s in all pre-'50 years put together. I see that set has a "reverse of" in PR 68! It also has lots of 1950s PR 68 DCAMs which I just love. Looks like BNE is still tops in the non-variety set.

Nice buy on the 40 rev of 38.

Had the coin offered to me as it was consigned to Heritage, but Heritage wouldn't let it go.

Guess they won't be selling my Ike set.

I know the maker of this coin. He made a few thou....

    hey Mitch

are you referring to that recent Heritage PR68 offering?? i only saw it via their online pictures but it llooked like a steller example, well enough past my PR67 example that it looked OK. what did you find wrong or unimpressive about it??

Keets: It was just "OK". I'll tell you what I look for in early PR Jeffs in a PM or next time we talk. Wondercoin
