'75 Cello Bust . . .

Comments

  • 1975 is one of my favorite sets. Centering issues are really highlighted by those borders but I have had decent luck in finding good cards. How much cello are you busting? Get it from Steve Hart? I am working on the all stars from that set, did you pull any of those?

Nice cards in the scans. It is hard to beat a good rip.

Both Aaron's look like they have the centering for 10's. How are the corners, and is there any chipping?

    Nice cards! image
  • Thanks for the scans digicat.

    Busted 10 cellos GAI 9.

Was going to save, possibly resell. But it was like Christmas morning, so I busted all 10. Looking for Brett and Yount.

Pulled probably 30 I'll have graded.

Great fun. Man, this is addictive.

Try to get more scans on once the storm hits.

Nice stuff, tilting is also a big problem! As were fisheyes! Though you still can receive nice grades for slightly titled cards. Looking forward to more scans.

Nice cards, look to have sharp corners all around. That #660 Aaron is, as I'm sure you know, a very tough card. Yours looks really sharp, maybe a bit off L/R centering. If that's a 9, you'll do quite well with it!

    Nice cards NJ.

Too bad the Ryan HL isn't centered better - got one just like it.

    I do have a nice #500 tho...

A guy gave me this card in exchange for sharing my table at a small Sunday show I used to do.

I would like to see you pull a Brett or Yount as nice as the Carver/Orta cards!!!

    Keep'm comin!
    Thanx for sharing them

I picked some up from Fritsch and was VERY disappointed. Cards creased in the MIDDLE of the pack???
  • No, the ones I ripped were beautiful. A few corner dings and gum stains (Fisk/McCovey). Otherwise, a real treat to open!

    Sorry about your experience.
