e bay feedback question ?

Some Bozo I ordered a card from off ebay a long time ago left me a lame negative feedback as retaliation for me leaving him a bad feedback. He just ripped me off, took my money, said he mailed the card it's been a year and still no card. Anyway I saw that he's no longer a registered user soo... go figure lol My question is is there any way I can get my one negative feedback from this loser removed and if so how ?

  • I had a similar incident happen to me--someone who had (at the time) over 200 negative feedbacks left me one out of retaliation, and i contacted eBay about it, but they basically said "there's nothing they can do"--regardless of who's in the wrong, they rarely EVER remove those negatives once they're posted--unless you can get the one who left it, to retract it.

People have talked about this a long time ago.

There's a process where you have to pay 20 bucks and if the other guy is incapable of responding you win and get the neg removed? Does this sound right?

Yes. You file with square trade, which also is a part of ebay, but an entity unto itself. Ebay allows it, and then uses a company where you pay to have it removed. Like they arent making enough money

  • I also thought that Ebay (as of this year) was putting a policy into effect on having feedback removed from NARU users. Maybe if you check the help boards you can find something out......

A little OT, but my favorite Ebay move of the new year is only letting you see 2 weeks of completed auctions instead of four. If I get another chummy email from that Bill Dodd telling me how friendly Ebay and I are I'm going to hunt him down and strangle him.
  • I think a lot of people look for 99.0 or better as a good vs questionable benchmark.

Everyone horns off another person now and then and you get a neg.
I have one from a seller who also sent me the card that he said I didn't pay for, and even sent me
a thank you LETTER for that card that I indeed paid for.

Also, in the "old days" one user could leave ANY feedback for ANY other user, even if
they NEVER did a transaction together

So don't really worry if your FB is 99. something

1967and 1973 Topps baseball wantlists (any condition) welcome. Once had the #14 ATF 1967 set. Yet another collector like skylaneflyer, gimel1 who made it to the completion of 1967 only to need the money more than the company of 609 close friends.
Looking for oddball Norm Cash and Cleon Jones stuff, and 1956 team cards
