1960 Topps Psa Baseball 100% [Again]

Hello, I just received and posted to my set the final piece and have finished the 1960 set for a 2nd time. I completed a set late 2004 but had to sell it due to financial needs at the time. But i just could'nt resist doing it again, I still have about 10 cards i want to upgrade to 8 or better including Mantle and Maris but it is a very nice feeling. the first set was 8.05 GPA when i started busting it, this set is currently at 8.05 but should rise a few points once i upgrade the 2 star cards. Phil,

I am delighted to hear that-nice going.

  • Phil - Congrats! Very nice to see. Hope all is well.
  • Way to go Phil! Bet it feels better the second time knowing the pain you had losing it one time already.
Chances are this one will stay in your family for generations if that is what you want.

Orioles cards from 1960 to today.

    Be good my brothers.
  • Thanks Jim, I'm only 40 sets behind you know. I'm planning on catching you in 40-50 Years, LOL.
Mark, and Ted thanks for the kind words and yes i'm hoping to keep it for a while this time. i'm hoping to get the last 10 or so cards to get it all 8 or better. Phil

    Phil,

Sounds like you are going to force me to get some more 9s if I want to stay ahead of you,

    Jim
  • Phil, great job, congrats. How did you put such a nice set together so quickly?
Also, if you don't mind me asking, what was the comparative price between when you sold and when you bought? Just wondering to see if the market is higher or lower since 2004.
  • Jim, I'm hoping to be ahead of you on the ATF list on at least 1 set, the first time i put the set together it was # 4 ATF when i broke it up. It's going to take a higher GPA to get back there this time.

King, I think that a lot of the cards are a lot cheaper this time around, as time has gone on the pops have increased, bringing down the prices on the low pop cards. not too long ago the 451 card had a pop of 3 , now it's at 11 in less than 2 years it'm more than tripled.
