Question On What PSA Will/Won't Grade??

Is there any way to have PSA add a certain set to what they will grade?? There is a regional Milwaukee Bucks issue from 1979 that I would like to have added so I could get the Brian Winters card graded. I called customer service and they said it wasn't on their list and that there was no way to request it.
Is that true and does PSA ever add new sets to be graded??

  • I'm sure if the set is cataloged and within the size specifications already graded by PSA, they will grade it. You probably only need to send it in with your submission. If you look at the 1979 Pop Report for basketball, there is a Spurs Police set in there. So they do grade regional sets. As long as it meets other guidlines, size, not sheet cut, etc. you should be o.k. image

Edited to add: It might be a good idea to send in several cards from the set so they can have something to compare. It might be safe to say it's not on their list because none have been submitted to date.

    My Sets
  • I have sent in cards from two different sets where there were none previously graded (1970 Carl Aldana Orioles and 1970 Orioles Champions). They graded all of them, however, they got the years wrong on both. So, I say send them in...

    Looking for:
Any high grade OPC Jim Palmer
    High grade Redskins (pre 1980)
  • Awesome! Thanks guys.
These sets do list in the yearly Beckett so I was hoping they would.
    Thanks again
  • I recently sent in some 1992 Champion Basketball HOF cards, which had never graded before. I copied the pages from the Beckett and SCD Price Guides where they were listed and sent the copies along with my submission. They were graded with no problem.
    Always looking for T59 Flags.
