  • I decided to try for #1 in Proof Jeffersons a while back. Oh, maybe 7 or 8 years back. I was worried about Honeycutt. He was close but never seemed to pursue the pre 1950 Proof Jeffs. I looked about and he had some other sets with some superb coins. Some sets weren't finished but had the really tough coins in them. After a few years I figured he was just keeping his coins but wasn't looking for more. I did make #1. I passed the baton.

So this is one guy who I wouldn't say came out of the blue. image

Honeycutt had his Proof Roosie 1965-Date set open for viewing at 1x along time ago and I recall seeing that he had the 1967 MS69DCAM pop (1/0). Wouldn't have a clue to who owns this coin now, probably him still. Come to think of it, it was either Kreuter or Stokely whom owned the 1967 MS68DCAM (1/1), which sold in the heritagecoin auction some time ago for 5K+.

Wonder what the 69DC is worth!? MOONMONEY!!!

Honeycutt is a major player in the proofs. I kept epecting him to take a run at the 1950-1964 series. He just blasted my 1953 set which is a pain. That's my birthyear and I had prioritized that year within the series. I think R&I has been feeding his habit.
