Where the hell is Simon Cowell when you need him.

Is it just me or do the Stones sound horrible.

the stone ARE terrible. I could never figure out why everyone likes them so much. Just because they have been singing for like 50 years...have they ever REALLY been good???

I not only think they are good, I think they are the best of all time. Beatles who? They are getting old though, but I still enjoy watching them perform.

Glad it wasn't just me. They sounded terrible, and a 60 year old skipping across the stage singing "Satisfaction" was just pathetic.

If they were going to go old they should've gone for a Motown connection and booked Aretha. Better yet, Eminem.

The stones are and have been weak for a long, long time. When was their last good album, early 80s?

Yet they still continue to tour? Best of all time? Beatles who? I hope that post was made in jest. Aerosmith is a poor man's stones, and the stones are a poor man's beatles.

If the NFL was serious about having people watch their halftime shows, they'd have an act that would actually draw people....music relevant to TODAY not, 1960 (and no, not teeny bop crap like ashlee simpson...I want musicians).

And just who the heck would that be ?

You could have the top Country Artist and 80 % of the audience would turn it off.
You could have the top hip-hop Artist and 80 % of the audience would turn it off.
Same with the best Pop, Alternative, Metal, Jazz, Gospel, Motown, Rap, or whoever else.

It's all about people 'not turning that dial' and with The Stones you get a safe bet that most people will watch.

Get real ... this is the Super Bowl ... it's like the Grammys.
It's not about good music, it's about appealing to the lowest common denominator ...

They havnt put on a good show in over 20 years. It is about time for Mick to show some dignity and realize that someone in their 60's looks like a fool jumping and dancing around like a kid. The guy just doesnt know how to age gracefully.

Not to mention, when Mick used to sing brown sugar it was about a young girl....now he sings it about a young boy. Guess he just got bored of sleeping with some of the worlds best looking women and had to try something different.

They had their day, they were great in their day, but that day has LONG come and gone.

  • when brian jones drowned (1969?) they lost their heart and soul. their creative side and their leader.that was a long time ago. sure they had some good R&R left, but they have never been the same. now(fot the last 15 years) they are a revival act much like all the 60's bands that had a few hits. image
