1952 Topps Grey Back Question

I have a 1952 Topps #145 joe Haynes Grey Back card. I looked up the card on Beckett online, and it says the price is N/A. Is this a scarce card, and if so, what is the value?

  • Is it graded? If not, what condition is it in?
  • it is not graded, and i would say it would be a PSA 2 or so

    Good for you.
  • Yes,
third series 52 topps, were traditionally printed on white card stock. there are third series cards printed on grey card stock, they are beleived to be canadian. There was a lot on Mile high auctions 5-25-05 lot #638. 47 cards including Martin RC sold for 8,000.00. Considered to be scarce, there are variations within the grey card stock cards. It has to do with the shade of white on the front of the card. Levi, at 707 knows quiet a bit about these. I myself have two.

  • Some people do collect greybacks, psa does not recognize this variation yet? They typically sell on ebay for a 25 to 50% premium over whiteback cards. If you are intersted in selling this card PM me.
