1967/Carew collectors- is this a record for a 9?

I don't think I've ever seen a PSA 9 Carew rookie go for this much.

1967 Topps PSA 9 Carew

  • Yes, surprising, especially with the cloudy scan where you can't tell anything about surface.

Wow - seems high indeed. I have a PSA 8 of this card that is quite nice, and I paid less than $400 for it. Not sure a 9 is worth 10X as much.

1967and 1973 Topps baseball wantlists (any condition) welcome. Once had the #14 ATF 1967 set. Yet another collector like skylaneflyer, gimel1 who made it to the completion of 1967 only to need the money more than the company of 609 close friends.
Looking for oddball Norm Cash and Cleon Jones stuff, and 1956 team cards

I don't think any card is worth 10X of the next lower grade but it happens every day. I will say the centering on this Carew is absolutely beautiful and the first thing you notice. Premium centering continues to rake in the dough and its getting more evident each year with prices paid for extremely well-centered cards.
  • well that psa 9 shure looks like a deal for $4000.00
