Need info on Sierra Leone Coins...

a friend of mine daughter saw a SL coin set in a catalog. Had animals on them, believed to be 2005. Any info would be great!!!

    Krause isn't much help yet, I'm afraid. They don't list any official mint sets newer than 1980.

    SL has made plenty of commemorative coins with animals, and the newest circ. coins listed in Krause (2004) also carry an animal theme. If you knew where the coins were minted, you could try looking them up on the Web.

    Try this site - he has many sets arranged by "coins with animals" and such.

    Danglen is a board member here and might have what you are looking for ... Danglen's ebay store.

    The Big Cat/Big Five in this search are all Sierra Leone coins that she might have seen... Linkage. I got these just by searching Danglen's ebay store...not ebay in general, in which case I'm sure there's even more.
