Found In Change

Well, I dumped out a bad of change that I had since before I deployed (so about 8 months). I find it interesting that I never saw this the first time. Nothing big... but it is a 1951-D Wheatie. Kinda made me smile.

  • Wheat pennies are harder and harder to find in change and that is why it makes the find more exciting. Don't forget to look for those Wisconsin extra-leaf quarters. image

  • I agree with HKnJ it has been months since I found a wheatie and even longer since I found any other old American coin in my change. I did find a silver certificate.

I've found 9 foriegn coins since Jan.1 of this year but no good-keeper US coins.

  • i go to the bank and buy 50.00 dollars in pennies and look through them maybey 2 times a week. me and my son found 240 wheat pennies this year so far and around 5,000 last year. we found 5 indian head pennies one was an 1880 grat shape. we found a 1944 d over s and we have found 7 1999 wide a m pennies. we sold one in dec for 380.00 dollars. we have about 60 98 wide ams and 60 2000 wide ams. so you can still find some good coins in circulation. later greg
