Suggestion for set registry

Ok, I posted this under the set registry section, but thought I would add it over here too for anyone who has any thoughts...

was thinking of a set for the registry involving former players turned broadcasters or announcers. I think it would be a fun challenge, and encompass every major sport, and a wide variety of cards. Just a couple real fast off the top of my head....... the 48 bowman Rizzuto, the 52 bowman Frank Gifford, 55 bowman Pat Summerall, 69 topps Walt Frazier, 74-75 Bill Walton, 1960 Jim Kaat, 65 Joe Morgan,74-75 hockey John Davidson, 81 donruss golf Johnny Miller.....just to name a few.

What does everyone think ?

  • I like the idea - I'd also like to see a Yankee Captains set and a Knicks key card set....

Knicks set would be cool......I just sent in a request for the 69-70 knicks team......I think there are only 5 cards, but still nice considering they are all stars and also if i am correct all rookie cards.

That might end up being a pretty big set in the end. You could start a separate set based on ex-hockey players alone... Aside from John Davidson, add Greg Millen, Kelly Hrudey, John Garret, Glen Healey, Nick Kypreos, Ray Ferraro, Ryan Walter and Gary Valk.
