I am always going there just to look around. I want to buy so much but I am limited as to what I can get till I pay off all the other stuff I bought that I really couldnt afford. It is a great site though.
Mark Murphy did have a fire and lost inventory. I believe it was Ryan Rutter of Wax from the Past who mentioned it when we were going thru that whole Nedsk thing.
BBCKid is an honest and trustworthy seller like Steve Hart. Difference? Hart has a personality IMO.
I wondered what happened to Mark Murphy as well. I heard about the fire, but I thought he rebuilt some inventory. Now, he seems very much under the radar.
I'd bet Steve Hart's business has grown a tremendous amount since the weekly threads on here, just like this one, that pimp his site. I liked it better when less of you knew about him! But, he deserves the business, a first class trustworthy seller in every respect.

I would agree that his business has increased from positive talk on CU.
In fact, "internal marketing" - getting current customers to tell their friend about you is an underserved area for advertising and relatively inexpensive.
Last month, of the 23 new people that came to my office, 12 were referred by current people!!! Cost? It starts when they are happy and you tell them: "please tell your neighbors." And ends with a simple card of appreciation and something like movie credit cards. You just don't want the method to look like a "bribe" which is cheesy IMO. People will thank me for the movie pass $! Also, we send out sympathy cards, xmas and B'day cards, flowers when someone goes in the hospital etc.
Sorry that this is OT but for those like me in customer service, this is worth mentioning since it was brought up about how people are doing biz with BBCE.
What about Dave and Adam. Didn't they have a huge $1mil purchase? Has anyone bought anything from the 80's or older from them? There prices were consistent with bbce the last time I looked.
<< <i>I believe it was Ryan Rutter of Wax from the Past who mentioned it when we were going thru that whole Nedsk thing. >>
And there is another big story about our friend Ryan that hasn't been talked about but I have first hand knowledge of. I'm trying to get the person to sign up on here so he can tell it himself. All I will say is that I would recommend buying from Steve at BBCE if you want to actually get your product.

zef, they have some 78 rack cases originally priced at 3,900 and have dropped them to 3,400. I bought one of these from Steve Hart for 2,800 last spring. That case really helped propel my set that sits at 95% complete. If they drop the price again I might bite.... who knows.
<< <i>do you guys ever just go to the site BBCE and see what he has for sale? sometimes i'm amazed at some of the nice things there. >>
I've bought some vintage PSA material from BBCE.
I've also purchased some wax boxes from him (i.e., Steve Hart, owner of BBCE)
The wax boxes were all original and all boxes contained unopened/untampered-with original wax packs! And the PSA material I purchased? Well, ...all were high end PSA material, as described!
