    True from a long term Yankee fan perspective....but Damon will contribute more RIGHT NOW than Bernie can. That's what it's all about.
    Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

    This thread is fu$king stupid. Johnny Damon or ANYBODY else for that matter have to compare to Bernie Williams? How STUPID is that? Bernie Williams could not carry Mickey Mantles jock strap for 3 feet but we don't see any old timers making jacka$$ comments like this do we? Spare me .....

    Bernie's not a hall of famer. And that term 'can't carry his jock strap' is the most ridiculously overused (and meaningless) sports insult of all time.

    They have very similar numbers, a bit under .300 career hitters, similar OBP numbers, similar power numbers, similar gimpy armed fielder. But Bernie is somehow infinitely better?
