Some '58 Topps from the same SGC submission

Some nice collector grade stuff, nothing too fancy...just some nice looking cards.

Robin Roberts - an upgrade from the SGC 50 I had:

Enos Slaughter - a hairline crease dropped the grade on "Country" but its still a beautiful card:

Old school Aaron and Mathews, a great multi-player card......blurry scan, sorry

  • Not real familiar with SGC graded cards. I am familiar with Psa graded card though. Please take your posts to the SGC website.
  • Very nice eye appeal cards for the grades . Thanks for sharing

Nice looking cards for the lower grades they received. By the way, I have no problem with SGC cards being pictured here... we are after all collecting the cards, not the holders that they are encased in.

The Roberts is one smooth looking 6 - cards like that which are nicely centered are the best - the price is right and they look great.

Are you doing the 58T set?

I have some really nice 58s that I have never had graded.

Did you notice that some of the cards from that period have hair line scratches that you can only see when you hold the card flat under the light? I have that on my 58, 59 and 60s. I was just wondering how much they will take off for that? Corners and centering - very nice.

    thanx for sharing
but one thing - could you "resize" them a bit to fit the screen next time?

  • Mike,

The Roberts is a nice card for sure. Part of a purchase from a gentleman who owned these since about age 7 when he tore the packs open himself. The stories he shared were great!

I am passively doing the 58-60 sets (along with many others) but have never seen the scratches. I have noticed what looks like someone took a fine tipped felt pen and draw lines but it seems to be a flaw in the printing process. My 59 SGC 70 Cubs Clubbers card has that.

I'm working on the resizing of my scans. Still learning this new scanner. Wish I could get scans the right size and with a clearer image to show detail.
