The eagles are a mess, and Reid and management are doing NOTHING to quell this. McNabb waits till yesterday to rip TO, when he should have done it the FIRST DAY to got out of line.

It is completely absurd to finally make a statement about this WELL after the fact. I once had respect for him simply because he basically did not respond to any real lengths about TO's asinine remarks, but now I have lost total respect for McNabb for doing so this long after. One can try to blame the idiot reporter for rehashing all of this, but McNabb did not need to comment to such a degree. He should have just said that the issue is in the past. Don't get me wrong. TO is still the real moron here. I am so tired of seeing guys think that their value to their team outweighs all others and that's exactly what Owens is all about. I cannot believe any team would consider taking on this tool. Good players (on the field) don't always make teams better simply because of the distractions they cause within the team. He's already made his millions so he doesn't care. There's nothing anyone can really do to punish him anymore, so what does he really have to lose? On the other hand, McNabb only could have made the situation worse by opening his mouth now...

Huh? Last place in the NFC East? No way. The cowboys are going nowhere fast, and where is the leadership on that team? Washington is good (great D) and the giants are a question.

Most Eagles fans on these boards have questioned the way McNabb handled the whole TO thing. I know I did. Saying McNabb is a great QB doesn't mean some Eagles fans question his leadership. I think he is a great QB, and I question his leadership. He can improve on that, and I say that with confidence. Same thing for Reid ... the Eagles know that they need to work on several things and fix em quick.

Well stated by Sheldon Brown. It is a well known indisputable fact that Philadelphia sports fans are the most knowledgeable sports fans on this planet. We fully comprehend that the Eagles poor record last year stemmed from massive injuries - case closed on that.

Dear Lord.
Please allow Terrell Owens to sign with an NFC East or NFC South team.
Of course God we know that you are truly benevolent and will see that T.O. is taken care of and his family is provided all of the good things in life.
But please, if you can find it in your heart, please let him play a game in Philly next year so that we can exact your punishment, namely the brutal a$$ kicking that he deserves.

McNabb may not be the leader he should be but he does have some class. The man held his tongue in public during the season and that is admirable. I too have my doubts about his ability to lead the offense and the team. The race card should not be played by anyone.

However, the problem here is the punk, T.O. T.O. baited McNabb and the team and lost the battle in trying to get them to respond in his classless manner. Let's not forget that. Don't worry he will prove it again very soon.

Okay - I admit I was reaching a bit with the 5-11 remark, but I am not sold on a quick return to the top of the NFC East for the Eagles. The division keeps improving slowly, and while they are well coached and have an above average defense, they have weak receivers - a RB coming off an injury, and the defense isn't getting any younger.

well think what you want to. but we went into seattle lost 13-10 should have won. went into carolina won that game. so to say we are far away from making it?
