maybe you mean either obv or rev die has rotated. in which case (though I still don't see it, to be honest) minor rotations usually carry little to no premium.

You're referring to a slightly rotated die which means you can't line everything up on your scanner to your satisfaction, right?

  • I got lazy and decided to try to scan more than one coin at a time, and I guess one is a rotated die. Is that how I should describe the coin?
I'm not a collector, and just want to sell the proverbial grandfathers collection.
I noticed that collectors expect the coins to be listed honestly. Most of the coins aren't worth the time for ebay so I thought once I get them all scanned I'd provide a link and offer them for sale on this website as I noticed that some collectors are having a hard time finding some of the more common coins, if I just charge actual shipping charges and take reasonable offers, I can sell them and no longer worry about them getting stolen. My neighbor's collection was stolen recently...actualy her whole house was cleaned out while she was away for the weekend. Any that don't sell I'll put up as give aways here or donate to the charity auctions.
    any help is greatly appreciated.
