I'm going to Ft Washington Mar 3, what would you do if....?

First, here’s the reason for my question…..

Two 1984 Topps Football wax boxes closed today
Prices realized:
$415 for a GAI 8 box from a Power Seller (4400+ rating) $10 S/H
$410 for a very nice X-out box from a regular seller (400+ rating) $8 S/H

Now then, is it fruitless to get the box graded? Does it have to be an 8.5 or 9 to command high dollar value?

I have a couple of select boxes I paid a premium for about 7 years ago. They are all none X-out straight from cases and I want to see that they stay perfect. I plan to attend Ft Washington in 4 weeks with boxes in hand specifically because GAI would be there on site.
Just recently I saw a thread asking if the rumor is true of PSA soon grading packs. I am 100% into PSA collecting and I am thinking that if PSA would grade boxes, I would much rather have them encased that way. I’m lucky that nothing has happened to the condition of the boxes in the past 7 years, but I don’t want to wait much longer either.
If you were in my shoes, would you get them graded in March by GAI or would you hold out for PSA box grading to be offered one day?

PSA is going to grade packs, I think it's past the rumour stage. But I've never heard anything about them grading boxes, and the holder is a major hurdle. I just can't see it happening.
If you're not selling then there is no point in grading them. Wait till it's time to sell and see if there is still a PSA, or GAI, or SGC.
