Thinking of doing my first vintage set, could use some input....

I have about 100 cards from 1973 Topps baseball from when I was little. (born in 1972) I have most of the higher value cards; Ryan, Clemente, Jackson, Palmer and Rose. Is this set going to cost me a fortune to try and put together? Not interested in grading, so condition is not that big of a deal for me. I don't follow grades that much, but from what I've seen, if i could do the set in the equivalent of a 6-7 I would be happy. Any input from you experienced guys?

    I'm not sure what your budget is, but you can usually pick up mid-grade '73 sets between $250-$350. At that point you can sell the stars and your stars and pick up PSA 8 quality Ryan and Schmidt and be done with the project with around $500 spent.

    If you work on this card by card you will end up paying a lot more and have a set that probably won't be that consistant in grade.
