Speechless

"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

  • well...you're close to getting 2 cards for the price of 1....his starting price is about close to where it should end...I am guessing a final price of $46

<<< Up for auction is a PACK FRESH MINT George Brett 1975 Topps #228 Rookie Card. I just pulled this out of a pack last week so it's as mint as it can get! I would have sent this in to PSA for a grading, but the centering stopped me. If it weren’t for the centering, I really think it might have received a 10. It would have received a 9 for sure though. The color is great, the corners are razor sharp and so are the edges! This really is an outstanding card! A PSA 9 books for $570. For some reason SMR does not list what a PSA 10 goes for, but some times it can go for up to 10 times more! For example, a PSA 9 of the 79 Ozzie Smith rookie card books at $420, but a PSA 10 is booked at $3,600!! Another example: The 78 Eddie Murray RC PSA 9 books at $310, and a PSA 10 books at $2,500! Too bad this card wasn’t centered properly!! Shipping for this item is only 2.99 and I DO combine shipping. I prefer PayPal, but I will also accept Money Orders, Cashier Checks and cash. If you decide to bid, I wish you the best of luck, and if you’d like, check out my other auctions for the hottest vintage cards, and rookie cards! >>>

Well the centering speaks for itself and the wear on the two bottom corners speaks for "pack fresh mint"

    I don't think so.

I don't see any wear on corners. The centering though does blow.

    too bad

That is one of my favorite lines. Just because it was pulled fresh from a pack it has to be mint!

With scans of 75 Topps having those color corners, wear is often hidden on scans. Actually each corner I think is at least frayed and the bottom right corner to me looks like it probably has a ding.

The cards must of had rubber bands around them in the wax or cello pack when he "I just pulled this out of a pack last week" - LOL
