Nice start to things

The National Sports Collectors Convention is pleased to announce that TRISTAR Productions will manage the Autograph Pavilion at the 27th National scheduled for July 26-30, 2006 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

"It is great to be on board as a part of The National's management team," said TRISTAR president Jeff Rosenberg. "Everyone knows that the autograph pavilion has been a critical cog in The National's success, as it is such an important component of the show. TRISTAR will bring consistency, as well as quality and integrity, which is what the TRISTAR name stands for, to the autograph area for The National."

"TRISTAR is well positioned to make this the best National ever," said Mike Berkus, co-Executive Director of The National Sports Collectors Convention. "They have the experience doing megashows, the integrity and trust so important to making this happen properly, and a pipeline to the superstars. We look forward to working with them to provide a fantastic lineup."

In related news, TRISTAR announced today the first group of stars who will appear at the Anaheim National later this year. With Super Bowl XL right around the corner, TRISTAR has revealed that five Most Valuable Players of the game from years past will kick off the star-studded lineup for this event.

Bart Starr, Joe Montana, Steve Young and Troy Aikman, four quarterbacks who led their teams to victories in the Big Game, will make special appearances at the 27th Annual National. Jerry Rice, arguably the greatest wide receiver of all time, was a favorite target of both Montana and Young, and he will join them in Anaheim. Rice is currently starring on the hit ABC reality show, "Dancing With the Stars." Hall of Fame running back Marcus Allen, 500 Home Run club member Willie McCovey, and Chicago Cubs legend Andre Dawson round out the initial group of National autograph guests announced today.

Rosenberg indicated that additional National autograph guests will be announced on a regular basis in the coming weeks. "We are shooting for the stars," said Rosenberg. "Our plan is to have signers at The National for all tastes. We will have stars in Anaheim from the major sports plus movie and television celebrities. We are going after the best of the best for autograph guests." Text
