1798 Bust $ Heraldic Eagle now on EBay

A friend is asking for help in selling the following. I suggested getting it slabbed even by ANACS or NCS, He has a couple of these and needs cash flow. He is sending the others in for a slab, but I am going to put this one on EBay straight away. Where would I look to check for varieties etc? Any look outs with listing it as raw?

Your coin looks to be a, BB-108 (B-13,H-13)from the best I can tell.I don't sell on ebay so no help there.Good luck.

I think you are going to have a hard time getting someone to send you a check/money order for $3000 with a feedback of 219. Just my opinion.

I can't disagree with you about the certified check. My friend stated how he wanted the deal to go and I am complying. Teletrade would have been more protection and may end up going that way on a followup listing if this doesn't work. Slabbing would be appropriate too.

Thanks for the comment. I tend to agree whether the feedback was 219 or 2219.

Still a very nice coin & great for a 7070, or slabbed by ANACS or NCS.

I do not think your bust dollar is a BB-113 as stated in your e-bay listing,you should check out the star arranment on the coins rev.

It still looks like a BB-108 to me.

I took your suggestion to go back through the variety taxonomy. I agree with your assessment on the BB-108. I missed on the second step - high 8 v. normal eight. The listing was near closing so I could only add a photo. I placed the text for the revised variety in a powerpoint jpg file and added as a photo.

Thanks for helping me prevent a problem with a buyer.
