Stupid people and momentum traders buy GOOG. I'm glad I don't own it after yesterday's debacle. More disappointments to come in the future from this company which makes the majority of it's earnings from fickle advertisers.
Maybe if they come up with a real business model with viable products it may become a good buy in the distant future. For now, however, owners of GOOG are like the inmates on death row, except the death row inmates know they are going to get slaughtered.
I don't own Goog. I did read IWOG shorted it so he should have made out. I looked at it during the IPO and passed. I figured my bid would be too low so I didn't bother.
I shook hands with Eric Schmidt when we both worked at Novell. He was CEO and I was nobody. I am sure we would never remember me. Anyway I can say I shook hands with someone who turned out to be worth a billion bucks.
How quickly times change. I wonder what the analyst who put out a $2000 price target on Google is saying right about now. Perhaps that person is working on their resume... [gallows humor]
I understand the effect the price of gold has on the hobby, but google has none whatsoever, so I dont see why there have been countless threads on google. I think they belong on the OF.
