Home Metal Detecting

Couldn't make it to any of my older sites this month(work sucks), but I was able to sneak away and play in the dirt a couple times.

I find a lot of cut nails, but this is my first forged nail.

Found this next piece inside a split lathe ceiling I tore out for a kitchen remodel. The house was built in 1854, but I think this is a lot older.
A tool for making holes in leather.

  • Nice stuff Mr. Phut. I like the Rouge holder. Did it have a mirror inside?

I have a rouge compact just like that which I found in an attic of a house I was re-finishing.

Looks like the Silver Gods have given you a nod! image

  • Very nice finds Phut. It's nice even getting a chance to get out and dig a little during the winter, isn't it?

    Thanks for the replies people
The rouge case was full of ants when I found it. No mirror, just a metal disk that says 'Tangeerouge refill, The George W Luft co. New York , Made in USA'
Speer34 Yeh it's great to get out in winter. Last year I was shut down for three months.
