New ship medal - photo experiment

I just got this pure Bronze medal (I know it's U.S. image) the problem is photographing bronze. Many have said they have problems with copper, well I feel the same with highly reflective bronze or brass.

The only difference in the shooting of the following was light placement.

I lke the effect of this one the best.

Try holding a black piece of paper above it for it to reflect off of.

Hmmmm...I didn't try that - #1 is with white paper held above it - I think I will give a black piece of paper a try.
    Thanks,
