Green Label NGC

I just purchased a coin with the older green label from NGC. I have heard the PCGS coins with the green labels go for a slight premium. How were the older NGC coins graded compared with today's NGC graded coins?

Thanks, Steve

  • In my opinion of yrs of buying/selling ngc coins; The old fat no-line ngc holders are graded more conservativley compared to todays grading standards..same as pcgs sm./lg. green holders image

The NGC labels I am familiar with which are "green", are older labels which have changed color, often in conjunction with the coin's having done the same, to some extent.

Judge the coin, not the label - there are great coins, as well as dogs, in older holders.

Only the fat boys seem to go for any premium.
