Box busting

Is there anything worth grading in the early Topps, Donruss boxes? Got alot of this stuff from Topps from 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990 and 1991 and Donruss 1988 through 1991. Shall we have a night of busting 1990 Donruss and post scans of all the cards? What do I do with all this stuff?

  • bust away!

A PSA 10 1988 Topps Nolan Ryan would probably bring in the neighborhood of $300, thats probably the best you could pull out of those boxes
  • Where did you get a price of $300 for a PSA 10 1988 Nolan Ryan? SMR on that is $40 for Donruss, $25 for Topps with plenty of 10s already so its not rare.
  • There are only 2 1988 Topps PSA 10's, i believe the last one went for over $400
  • Actually out of 56 graded their are 3 10s. No way I'd pay that much money for a 1988 Nolan Ryan. I have a ton of them and I know some would grade a 10, I bet there are thousands more out there that people aren't wasting their time grading. But hey if he can get $300 for it then great, I'd sell it also.

I owned one when it was a 1/1. I don't remember the exact price, but I put it on ebay with an impossibly high reserve and the bidding got up to $350 or so. It didn't meet the reserve, and I have since sold the card.
