Well it's been awhile since the site has been updated but were still around doing what we can.
Not sure if any other sites exist as many people just don't want to take the time that is involved in trying to get the people at eBay to do their jobs. Our biggest problem is the crappy reporting system that eBay has. Because the system only lets's you report auction numbers many times the people that are looking at an auction that's been reported really don't know what it is they are looking at. But there have been a few people that work at eBay that have got off of their butts and once something has been reported to them with any and all evidence of policy violations, most times as the site shows, the auctions have been removed and many have been NARU'ed.
Thank you for the kind words. We do our best and it's nice to know that others appreciate what were trying to do. And it's not always easy to get the people at eBay to follow thru. Speaking for myself only, there are days that I just want to call it quits because it doesn't seem to make much of a difference but that's when I have to take a day or two to just sit back and get refocused. We all put alot of time into what we do because we all have a love for this hobby and hate to see others getting ripped off.
And yeah, some of the people that are bidding on some of these auctions should know better and some would say they get what they deserve but there are still people that know little about cards and wouldn't know a scam if they tripped over it.
<< <i>I think these people are doing a GREAT JOB in the middle of a FORGERY TSUNAMI on eBay. >>
Yes there is a "FORGERY TSUNAMI" on eBay you are correct in saying that, but we spend many unpaid hours trying to warn people about bogus sports cards because that is what we know well. There are other sites that pertain to autograph collecting which do about the same thing we do over at SMACK, sites such as this one.
To those wondering were we been, well as barf pointed out sometimes you get tired and need a break from it, but as of this week the site will once again be updated with any information we can pass along.
