My certified coin swaplist, Jan-Feb 2006 (USA and a few world coins)

(Sorry if the term "swaplist" in the title was misleading. I would prefer to sell before considering swaps. However, my ears are always open if you have something I want and I have something you want. I still enjoy a good swap now and then.) If we're swapping, then the prices on my coins are there as a guide.

Prices are as I have 'em marked in my antique mall booth. Coins are subject to prior sale at that location, though certified material moves much slower there- my customers seem to go more for raw coins. Sorry there aren't many with pictures at present- this is just a rough draft. I will try to add some better descriptions later, if not a few more pics. I doubt I will be photographing all of them anytime soon.

Some prices are negotiable, most aren't very. Some might be out of whack- PM me if you think so. Some I priced long ago.

The few I have imaged are usually poorly done- I am still not "there" with my camera skills.

UNITED STATES COINS

1858 Small Letters Flying Eagle cent, PCGS XF45 $145
Medium toning, average eye appeal
(SWAPPED)

1862 copper-nickel Indian cent, NGC MS62 $115
(SWAPPED)

1878 Indian cent, NGC PR64 RB $295
Some nice colors.
(SOLD!)

1906 Indian cent, NGC MS64 RD $165
The red is a bit mellowed but it is a full Red. It looks borderline RB in sunlight or other harsh lighting. Call it a "just made it" RD. Nice.

1942 Lincoln cent, PCGS PR63 RD $45
Red with a tiny, subtle hint of color at the peripheries- just the slightest bit of sea green, as I recall. But mostly just a nice red.
(ON HOLD)

1943 steel Lincoln cent, PCGS MS66 $25
White and lustrous.
(ON HOLD)

1943-S steel Lincoln cent, PCGS MS66 $42
White and lustrous.
(ON HOLD)

1944 Lincoln cent, PCGS MS66 RD $27
Brilliant red.

1955-S Lincoln cent, PCGS MS66 RD $27
Brilliant red.

1956 Lincoln cent, PCGS PR67 RD $57
Brilliant red with nice mirrors, as I recall.
(ON HOLD)

1838 Seated Liberty half dime, ANACS AU50 $158
Even dark grey color. Some very faint hints of iridescence and color, but mostly dark. Despite being a tad dark, it's attractive.

1853 Seated Liberty half dime w/arrows, NGC MS61 $195
Average. Some patches of grey toning.

1883 Shield nickel, NGC PR64 $345
Faint mirrors on the obverse, practically none on the reverse. Call it "satiny". Looks like a nice BU business strike. My picture is horrible.
(SOLD!)

1913 Type 1 Buffalo nickel, PCGS MS63 $50
Average luster, nice eye appeal.
(ON HOLD)

1937-D Buffalo nickel, PCGS MS65 $57
Nice luster.

1875 20-cent piece, ANACS G6 $140
Nice look for a circulated coin, and it's a Philly instead of the more common S-mint.
(SWAPPED)

1929 Standing Liberty quarter, PCGS MS63 $220
Not quite a Full Head coin, but bright white with gorgeous luster. Luster is better than my pics indicate.

1824 Capped Bust half, ANACS AU50 $250
Medium grey toned. Not as much luster as I have seen on other AU Bust halves, but a very decent original looking coin. Attributed with the Overton number- I'll have to add that info later.
(SWAPPED)

1957 Franklin half, NGC PR66 $30
Not a CAM, but a nice Brilliant proof with dazzle.

1878-S Trade dollar, PCI MS60 (actually AU58 w/ small staple scratch on reverse, but pretty- looks MS) $455 (obv. pic) (rev. pic)
Would probably bodybag at the top-tier services, but still a lovely slider- ideal for somebody who's building an advanced Dansco 7070 type set.
I have $450 in it. I think you'll agree it looks MS62-ish at a casual glance. Most respondents to my old poll guessed AU58 or MS63.

1886 Morgan dollar, PCGS MS63 $44
White.
(ON HOLD)

1889 Morgan dollar, NGC MS63 $44
White.

1921 Morgan dollar, PCGS MS61 $27
White.

1905 Liberty half eagle ($5.00 gold), NGC MS61 $325

2005-P Marine Corps commemorative dollar, raw gem BU in mint packaging $55
(SOLD!)
