Customer Service at PSA is the personifiaction of Irony

So I called PSA customer service today to ask about the status of my order. I had previously called on Monday and was told that the order was in the V1 stage and "would be shipped out either today or tomorrow."
As the order status online hadn't changed all week, I called again and this incredibly rude female told me the cards were, and I quote, "in the process." I laughed and said, "As soon as you receive the cards I'm sure they're in the process -- can you please be more specific?" I was greeted with a curt response about how the new computer policy at PSA is that the computers now do not tell the CS reps where you cards are. The "new" computer system now gives them one of three options: processing, grading, shipped. This is only if you believe the namless person on the other end.
I don't think you need to be Mr. Joe Orlando, the king of Botox injections, to read between the lines here. PSA is obviously cutting back on CS reps in order to save $$$. Therefore, you will NOT be able to call to find out if your cards are in grading, slabbing, V1, V2, etc.
Did I mention I categorically hate PSA Customer Service?

WOW!!!
from my post on Dec 30th---
Please press 1 followed by the # sign for--" Your cards are in the process of being graded"
Please press 2 followed by the # sign for--" Your order was placed on the problem shelf. No one has contacted you?"
Please press 3 followed by the # sign for--" We are currently looking for your cards, but we can't find them right now,. Please check back later."
Please press 4 followed by the # sign for--" Your cards are in the sealing process and will then go into the final staging"
They could save a ton of money with payroll by simply adding these as taped messages
But now I have to ask, why do you guys continue to use PSA? Every day there is a post here about poor customer service, horribly misgraded cards, phone call runaround, delayed turnaround times, cracked open holders/switched cards.
Enough is enough guys. They treat you this way because they have you locked in. The more you send, the more they know that they can treat you like sheep. You dont have to accept this. Now I am of course, an advocate of a different grading service but whoever you choose, shouldnt they service you the way you wish to be serviced as a customer? Please dont say that all my collection is in PSA holders or they bring the most money etc, stop sending stuff right now and show them that they cant treat you this way.
I'll return my soapbox to its rightful storage area now.
<< <i>First let, let me start by saying that I'm sorry you had to deal with a rude customer service employee. No customer should have to deal with that.

Now that I have finished my rant, let me end by saying that I want PSA to succeed and last. They have the reputation and credibility in the market that is much needed. They are a significant and neccessary part of the hobby. BUT - they can do so much better! I believe that there business right now is run by "Wall Street" managers whose only goal is to meet financial goals. They need somebody that knows and understands (and loves) the hobby! I believe that if they do what's good for their customers, the financial success will naturally follow. Right now, I think they are doing what they think will achieve financial success, but not good for the business. The type of approach that is very short-term and short-sighted.
Now let me go run and hide...
There is a SGC board...
Groucho Marx
When it comes to getting your cards slabbed, there are certain segments where you can choose from other grading companies. If you have 19th century, certain pre-war cards, SGC is used by A LOT of vintage collectors. Modern stuff, BGS is more dominant than PSA. But when it comes to stuff for the Set Registry, PSA is the only game in town, so to speak, and they'll do whatever they want to you and you'll take it. You may not like it, but believe me, you will take it.

<< <i>Whenever ANY company has a monopoly on a market, they can pretty much do whatever they want. The same reason people still use Paypal after getting raped on a fraudulent chargeback is the same reason people will continually give their business to companies that treat them like dirt because for them, there is no other viable alternative.

As I stated above, every company makes mistakes. For all the people who tell me to go back to the SGC boards, I never see any complaints there like what I see here...
who are you & what have you done with the "real" DaBigHurt?
<< <i>Here is a link to check out for everyone who is unhappy with customer service at PSA.......just look at the card in the links name !
