MTG Mislead artist !

I saw an auction with black lotus/time walk/3 mox and 4-5 dual land all black border and arround 100 good rare.
It was BIN for 2300 USD ...
The thing was presented you could not guess the P9 and the dual was CE if you didn t look close to the scan ... And the price was 66% of the cost of the real cards ...
No where in the auction he say it s CE or IE ...
A guy bought the lot 5 min after i saw it was CE.
I asked him if he notice it was all CE ... He was mad image

Here is the auction : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=8756976627&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

Is there a way he can get his money back ?

The seller didn t lie but he did all he can to mislead the buyer ...
It s a shame !!!

  • Judging by the seller's feedback, I would assume they would just refund the money. Otherwise his options depend on how he paid for the lot.

AbsolutJake - I like your ID - I've got a customer who loves to bust my balls (what a jerk); we were working out some deal and I said "...then everything will be jake." He said "What is jake, why do you say that? It doesn't mean anything." I sent the idiot the definition of "jake" out of the dictionary. I love to bust idiots.

Thanks for letting me vent. Now back to your regularly scheduled program.image

  • LOL, thanks for the chuckle Mark. What's even funnier is that my brother's name is Josh. Seriously. I'm not joshing you.

  • The buyer contacted the seller and the seller told him there is no way he will see his money back (bidding is like signing a contract .... ) . Obviously the seller know exatly what he is doing and put the BIN with immediat payment required to give no chance to get your money back.

Anyway the seller told me he give up ... He will eat his loss and think twice next time he bid image

  • If he paid with a credit card he can just call his credit card company and have the payment reversed siting a misleading seller.
  • The buyer can still dispute the transaction with paypal, citing the item shipped was not what was advertised. This will at least tie up the funds until the matter is resolved by paypal. If he has withdrawn the funds and paypal finds in favor of the buyer, then paypal can actually got into his checking account and withdraw the money. Either way if they find in favor of the buyer, he gets a refund, and the seller gets screwed. He should at least dispute it with paypal immediately.
