OK, it's not coins but I guess I could use some advice as this is my first attempt at selling on E-Bay.

solid return policy
lots of pictures
hionest description of flaws
low opening bid
Suggestions:
1. Take paypal. Paying with a credit card offers protection when buying from low feedback sellers.
2. Specify shipping costs. At least ballpark it for domestic destinations.
Looks like a neat book, good luck!

I agree with all of the above but I would have had the pic upright so its easier to see !! And as for the shipping charges, you can at the original listing use the shipping calculator & all the work is done for you !! Potential buyers can just click on "calculate" & it will tell them the correct shipping charges with no work on your part !!

I want to thank you for bidding Aethelred (I actually thought of you when I pulled the book off the shelf to image it-lots of olde and dead folks in it) but someone already outbid you, item is up to $56.51 in just a couple of hours. I was really worried about that .99 start but needlessly I guess. A little nerve-wracking as a new experience for me...

Three things that could stop me bidding
1) You say you will ship worldwide - but your payment options make this difficult (paypal much easier)
2) How big is the book? Size and weight would also give me a better idea of shipping costs.
3) Unclear if you are charging shipping at cost , or cost + packing + labour + eBay fees + markup, people
from this board know that you will be fair - strangers will not.
Minor pedantic points
1) I think Merian was Swiss and that Basle is in Switzerland not France.
2) Not from the middle ages - and Merian was not medieval, more "Reformation" ?
3) This is presumable a re-print, if so it might be better to make that explicit.
4) The pictures are good (but sideways), if you described a few of them -
Skull , dancing figure etc etc. This would give you more keywords that people
might be searching on.
Well you did ask!
Seriously I think the listing is good - I am in the same boat - about to list some
books on eBay for the first time, so I have been giving this some thought!
Good luck
