I don't think that Clemente, while a great man and player, should be honored this way.

And it's not like Clemente was the first latin player, either.

She is right - find some other way to celebrate him. Statue at Pittsburgh's park, retire his number in Pittsburgh - but the league wide retiring is out of line.
