1933 goudey Ruth Psa 7???

This example has to be the worst condition Psa 7 Goudey card I've ever seen. I looks as if a Psa 5 quality card was inserted into a Psa 7 holder. Your opinions? Ebay auction 8755478715. ruthcard

I've got 6s that look 10x better than this card. Looks like a very weak 6 in my opinion.

Aw come on, you are not insinuating that someone actually put a 5 in a 7 holder, are you?.......imagine that, switching out a lesser conditioned card in a higher graded slab. Blasphemy!

I think it is a nice looking card - I would say it is a decent 6 ... the top two corners push it over the PSA 5 mark, but the bottom two prevent it from being a PSA 7.

Without looking at it closely in person, I think it is very difficult to tell if it is a PSA 5, 6 or 7. Scans don't show everything. I've often received cards that just seemed middle-of-the-road, and in person, they look fantastic. Of course the reverse has happened as well. Scans can sometimes make corners look more rounded than they really are, or more sharp than they really are.

With that said, as a buyer on ebay, just looking at a scan, I wouldn't be too aggressive bidding on it. Because there is a chance it is what everyone is afraid of .

That's a garbage 7. If I sent in a UD Griffey RC that looked like that - surface and everything - it would get a 4. Considering it's vintage, I'd give it a 5.
