certificate vs. free submissions

Today in the mail i received a couple of certificates for having the top player sets for a couple of player sets. While the certificate looks nice, and is appreciated, i think a more practical token of appreciation on PSA's part would be to simply give out certificates for some free submissions instead. Maybe like three free submissions, with a 10-day turnaround, for any card of the customer's choice; after all, they give twice that many submissions for a membership renewal, so this would be quite reasonable. Any other thoughts on this?

Having never before been a receipent of an annual award I just assumed that was part of the reward at the end of the year. It sounds like just a certificate and star next to the set is the only pat on the back? I definitely think a few submission vouchers would be in order.

  • Since you have a top set, they don't have to worry about your business. They probably think that you will continue your collecting ways, without any incentive. The "free" submissions aren't free. You pay for the year membership and then receive them. If you buy a car that includes a radio, then the radio wasn't free either.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

    Who needs free gradings ?

    These things image are priceless.
Although, I do agree with a wise King who once decreed that 'beer credits' should be given out for having a top set. image
