75 topps minis

Having a tough time with 75 minis.I have had 3 major cards returned. They were just taken out of the pack a few weeks back.PSA claims they are miscut. What is the defintion of a miscut??I always thought a miscut would be missing a border, show a part of another card. These three cards did exibit tilted text on the back of the card however all 4 side did show at the very least some border on all four sides the centering up front approx 70/30.Can anyone give me a clue on waht I should look for to determine whether the cards are miscut or not so I dont waste my time sending any more in.I have over 100 beauties I would like to send in.

Thanks, fiveniner

    Hi 5-9er

Have ya got a scan? That would help.

You are correct on the miscut - missing a border - also a card can be diamond cut and since it's not square can not be holdered.

A "tilted" card is square but the pic within the borders is tilted.

Here's an example of a diamond cut card don't have a miscut one.

It would appear that they very well could be diamond cut as Mike states but that would mean that from the complete box I just opened I would have to say that at least half would be diamond cut.
It looks like I really lost out on this box.

No. If you check the corners - you will see they are at 90 degrees - square - the card is cut correctly - just the picture is tilted - this affects borders and subsequently the grade of the card - potentially.

The true diamond cut is a parallelogram (rhomboid) as opposed to a rectangle (normal card)

That's too bad - a box today would set you back like 1500 bucks.

The cards are still collectible and will look nice in a binder - just that they won't fit in the holder - sorta like trying to fit a square peg thru a round hole?
