    sounds like those guys were almost "Darwin Award" candidates too! ...

    The men didn't know what they had found. They even played catch with the bomb before posting a picture of it on the internet asking for help identifying it.

    Wow, I wonder how a Vietnam Era bomb like that ended up in Somerset, MA? Who made it, put it there, why...etc?

    I also love how everyone with a metal detector is "searching for buried treasure". Aaarg matee.

    I know that guy. He is a good hunter and i would wager 9 out of 10 people wouldn't recognize the bomblet he dug. No Darwin award there.

    Sorry IHM, my comment was not intended to be an insult toward your friend.

    The way the news was written would've made any one of us sound like a
    potential Darwin Award candidate ("playing catch with a bomb"). Glad they
    weren't injured...
