Mexico 8R

Hey thrillseekers:

I checked NGC'S CENSUS on line and it does not appear they have graded any 8 Reales with a PL designation... Does anyone out there know if they recognize PL surfaces or does PCGS for these coins? Thanks for the thoughts.

I really don't know if they give non US & Canadian coins the PL designation.

They will give a PL designation if warrented, but they are very tough.

I spoke with someone who knows about these things at NGC today and they said that a PL designation is possible for this series... image

My one and only business strike world coin with the PL designation:

You need frosted devices as well as mirrors to get it.

  • This one is as close as I have ever seen and it wouldn't make it.
