WTB 1996 silver eagle

I am looking to try the silver eagle set 1986-2006. I already have the 2006,2005 I think I would rather buy the hardest ones first & it seems the 1996 goes for the most so let me know who has 1 & how much.I think I will do better buying from this forum with collectors rather than buying on ebay & getting something really junky.

Thanks,
Bill

  • I assume from your sig line you are looking for slabbed silver eagles. Just a word of caution. Before you "invest" a lot of money into a slabbed set, do a search & read the threads on the US Coin forum about milk spots forming on slabbed silver eagles. I lost 40% of my 1986-2005 PCGS MS69 set to milk spots and so have many, many other people. No one seems to know how or why they form, so until it is figured out, there is that risk of it happening anytime, anywhere.

I'm not trying to dissuade you from your collecting choice, just be careful and be forewarned.

Oooops! image Sorry about the previous post by notlogical. I wrote it, but didn't realize I was in my son's account. image When I saw CU forum on the screen I assumed I was in my account. That's what happens when you have 2 numismatists in the house. image
