First off - it is not graded PSA 9. They refer to the value of a 1932 Goudy in PSA 9 - but the card up for auction is not graded.
Is it worth it? I think for an issue like this, it would be diffilcult to put a market "value" on the card - there just aren't many, if any transactions to base a market value. However, as a collection piece, the answer must lie with the collector. How much is it worth to you to have this card. I like to determine for myself how much it is worth to me to have a card - then that becomes my limit for my bid. If I can get it for that amount or less, than fine. If it goes higher and I don't get it - that's fine too.
Ah, your right I was careless in my reading of the discription, I know what one is willing to pay for a card or any object is a choice only the individual can make, but it never hurts to ask for some friendly advise to help one form an objective opinion. Honestly though I was looking at it from the perspective of purchasing it, grading and flipping it.
I'm more into football and hockey cards then baseball, most of the bb cards I come across I hope to sale or trade off. There is a huge antique shop down the road and the guy has tons of vintage 1940 thru 1960 bb cards and they all look to be in great shape. They have been there for years "small town living" , The wife wants to go look for some stuff there today, I'm seriously considering offering him a dollar apeice for them all see what he says..I figure it never hurts to ask..lol
PSA 7's go for about $200, and you know what you're getting. On general principle I avoid any auction with a deceptive title. I'd hold out for one without so many warning signs. There are plenty on ebay right now already graded, and almost always half a dozen to chose from.
Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
Not worth it. Maybe it's just me, but there's little appeal to a German margarine card of an American icon. If I were in the market for a Ruth, I'd save a little more and go for a PSA 1 '33 Goudey or even a collector grade '48 Leaf.
It's one of the best looking Ruth's. They're paper thin -thus fragile. Most were peeled or fell loose from old albums. I would try to get one already slabbed. Here's one I found on Feebay. This guy is German but now takes Paypal. A bit pricey for a "4" though I would bet he would take less. His other account used to buy them in quantity from eBay.de -when they were plentiful. sanella Ruth @ psa 4
Already have Stone already have. Its does seem to be a bit bright on the white and I thank you all for your friendly advise. Its these kinda things that help me learn what to look for and what not too
Gawd ya just gotto love the s**t, CSI eat your hearts out..lol

I'm with those on the deceptive advertising - I hate things like L@@K! e.g.
The white background makes it hard to tell - but the lower corners look soft - and they purposely changed the contrast to make it look whiter!
The card may come back a 5?
Also, this is the Type 2 version which is the most inexpensive - and Griff is correct - the card is worth about 200 bucks Nm IMO.
My advice? RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep your eye out for the Sanella graded - I think you will find a nice one real soon.
