That '01 Vic looks nice. Good luck with the grade.

Those toned 1 francs could use a nice dip.image

Nice PL surfaces on that '66, too.

Those 2 raps look nice too. I'd bet the '38 goes SP66RD, and the '37 might make a SP65RB, maybe RD.

And, my O my, those Swiss nickels sure look nice.image

Mac, the 01 cost me a whopping $56 incl. shipment, how could I resist it?

As for the specimens, you seem to know them very well. image

Needless to say that the 20 rp was a Mac gift, and Mac gifts usually grade very high when I'm submitting them. image

He does indeed. Shameless ttt for those who missed this, some truly nice coins in the first post, dedicated to those who feel saturated from the hobby. Only a year ago, I was trapped into a full Greek set and hadn't started Switzerland yet. image

Nice grades. I still think the 1/2 Sov is nicer than MS63.

Great grades and it is hard to get above a 65 at PCGS now and both of the rappen went red. It is also hard to get a red out of themimage3Mark

Phil had actually photographed it last December too, raw. Here's his photo back then:

And here's the photo of the Terner MS64 coin, but through the PCGS slab which was the one giving him the most trouble as I recall.

Sorry Larry, I hadn't seen your post. I told Mac that his red rappen specimens have better luck when I'm submitting them, but he won't listen. So I buy them instead. image

It is a testament to Phil's talent/ability that both of his images of the 1901 1/2 Sovereign look pretty much the same. Both are fantastic.
