Found a couple of wheat pennies

Hey all. I am not much of a coin collector, but I have come across a couple of Lincoln Wheat pennies, I believe the years are 1914 and 1918 (not 100% sure, I will have to check when I get home). They are not in great condition, they are pretty rubbed down, but you can read the dates on them. I don't have a scanner and digital camera just doesn't work. If anyone is interested, I would like to get rid of them, for if I don't I will probably just wind up acidentally mixing them in with my coin jar. Not sure really what they are worth, but I would listen to offers. Thanks

    Does the 1914 have a "D" mintmark?

I don't know off the top of my head. I believe so. I will check at home (wasting time at work right now).

If it does infact have a "D" mintmark on it you need to do some more work before you sell it. The 1914D Wheat cent is one of the keys to the series and is worth a significant amount of money even in low grade. Do not under any circumstances try to clean the coins, if you do 95% of their value will be lost.
