Is a Sunni-Shiite Coalition Possible?

With the Shiite United Iraqi Alliance capturing 128 of the 275 seats in the Dec. 15th election do you think the Sunni Iraqi Accordance Front, with 44 seats, will join a coalition with the Shiite United Iraqi Alliance?

    I think that should have been posted in the Open Forum, where I just put it. I intend to reflect deeply upon my grevious error and will make a special trip to the eye doc to have this latest pair of glasses checked, although that should not be considered an excuse for such a terrible mistake. I will then drop by all the temples on my way back home to ask the various gods at each to forgive me and help me see the error of my ways.

    Ah, sumnom, that is the key question, isn't it? Just what is the history of that coin?

    Funny, actually. Of all the forumers I thought you would have pegged that one right away.

    But I have faith that you'll be the first to figure it out.

    Looks Japanese, but I can't find an exact match in the JNDA catalog. The closest I've found is from the Momoyama period (late 16th Century) image

    I was thinking it might be Northern Song but I that guess seems to be wrong. I also thought it might be Japanese but again I couldn't find it. I also thought it might be Liao but again I could not find a good match. I will keep looking. The problem is that I am having trouble reading the character at 3 o'clock. Any ideas what it is ?

    Seems like "an" / "ahn" or like this - sorry can't seem to type in Japanese / Chinese in here.

    I too thought it might be an "AN" but I cannot find a "da an tong bao" in my references. I will keep looking. I don't know how to make some them work quite yet.
