Info needed on Canadian Centennial set

have a Centennial set with proof like coins in red presentation box with velvet interior that folds out like a picture frame for viewing. Just like the regular mint sets except for the addition of a silver round the size of a dollar that says-confederation 1867-1967 on one side and Canada and a very cool crest on the other side. I know they also made these with a gold coin in a sealed set. These are just setting in a recess and toning a crackle gunmetal blue. I am thinking about just sitting the darn thing in the window and letting the toning run amok. The satin on the top of the coins press down on the coins and is the reason for the "crackle" is there a paper or something I can put between that will help with the toning? Also can anyone tell me a little more about these such as mintage numbers and rarity. I did do a search on this forum and ebay with no luck... TIA, Mark
