Resubmit? 1972 O-Pee-Chee Fisk rookie PSA 8

Just wondering if anyone thinks this has a shot at a 9??
It does have slight rough-cut edge but heard PSA wont downgrade for that??

It's hard to get a good read on the centering due to the angle at which the photo was taken, but I'd say no based on that. The rough cut in and of itself isn't a problem, though sometimes a significantly rough cut can kinda blunt a corner, which may be the case on the upper left.

Left corners will keep this from a 9
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
  • agreed....the OPC cuts tend to make corners soft....even though they may be solid...they just don't appear sharp as a tack...
the other concern with OPC cuts is that they tend to leave chipping on the back of the cards...

The left border seems very choppy..
PSA tends to overlook the rough cuts...if it's on one side of the card...or even on 2 sides, if it's not that significant...on 3 or 4 sides...you will get whacked!!

I've had some hockey that were so rough, the edges looked like saw blades!!

    It's a nice high end 8....but chances are, not a 9.
