Speaking of Conders...

Not sure if this is one, but I liked it despite the poor auction pics. One of my trusted sellers; I've done a lot of business with him over the last 6 months. Usually horrible auction pictures, so you have to be willing to gamble, but never a problem with returns...

Also another cheapie from the same source:

Appears to be an Anglesey Wales issue. Nice druid!

So is there a definitive reference/price guide to conders? I have no clue if I paid too much or got a good deal. It just looked like a nice hunk of copper in a decent state of preservation (I'm REAL discriminating, can'tcha tell? image)
  • A good (definitive? maybe) reference on Conders, and no there is not a good price guide. The best you can do is try and gather auction catalogs and PRLs from the Noble sale and the last few DNW sales. The last printed price guide that covered all the varieties was Schwer in 1983. If the Robbie Brown collection gets sold by auction it would establish a good price reference since his collection containd better than 90% of all the varieties and edge varieties listed in D&H.

The question are, will it be auctioned, and if it is will it be individually lotted or bulk lotted.

Oh and your Anglesy token, if it is an AU and common your into it about right, maybe just a little high. If it is Unc, or a scarcer AU your into it nicely. If it is an XF your in a little too heavy unless it's a scarce or rare variety.

Not a bad one at all. I'll bet it looks better than the seller's pictures.
