This is auction is for a baseball that as signed by a baseball player called Babe Ruth, the ball is clean and was keeped in a air tight ball holder and this was given to me by to grandpa in his will about 10 years ago and i have had it seen, am kind of low in cash and need money for my rent as i lost my job. So this ball has not being graded so under Ebay rules this is sold as is. The autograph is nice bald and clean. The ball as no other marking or writting only the autograph on the sweet spot. My grandpa got this signed in person i dont know when but that was what i was told when i used to visit him when i was young. any question please email me.

Safe to say he won't be employed as a grammar teacher.
but seriously for someone like this to use an "industry term" like this for a signed ball...tells me this guy really is an experienced scammer simply masquerading as a dope.
The ebay ID is buyalotandsellalot, but the seller's feedback is zero. I guess with that level of education, zero might seem like a big round number.
Collector of 1976 Topps baseball for some stupid reason. Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason. My Pirates Collection

Only personal checks and money order at this time. Both payments are very same because both can be tracked. PLEASE NO CASH!!! Please include address and Ebay item number on payment.
How can ya go wrong...You can use the trackable check or money order since they are the same.
That really is a nice forgery. I think it was someone on this board that made the statement that all it takes is a lot of practice and a low success rate for passing authentication...and one can still make a lot of money.
This guy's probably not a dope; making ruth fakes is like making homebrew...first few batches are horrible; but whatever you can sell is still more than expected.
The next few batches of ruths....he'll have the signature down...he'll buy some very nice vintage balls....he'll buy some really nice vintage pens and ink...and he'll have his aging process down.
Anyone who invests in ruth signatures because "he's not making anymore" had better rethink that theory....there's going to be more "legitimate" signatures constantly hitting the market.
And for a player that he doesn't know, he somehow knows that Babe Ruth is George H. Ruth...
Looking for Jonny Gomes cards, especially Triple Threads and printing plates. Will consider all cards, though. Got something? Contact me at c_u_l_1@yahoo.com
I see 3 differences: The bottom of the big B is bowed out more on the lower pic The a on the bottom pic is rounder and lower The little b on the low pic is wider on the top and bottom
I see one amazing similarity: There is a definite pen pressing on the end of the t crossin on both balls
I think the bottom pic, the one up for auction is a legit sig, but it is highly likely he doesn't have the ball.
They didn't make reasonbly priced air tight ball holder when Gramps could have gotten this.
I've seen a ton of Ruth autographs over the years and this particuliar sample looks real to me. I would bet that the seller has lifted the photo from a previous auction or catalog.
Item: Babe Ruth (George H. Ruth) autograph auto baseball -NR (8753326711) This message was sent while the listing was active. buyalotandsellalot is the seller.
There is not logo or nothing on the ball or it may have faded
Well....one thing is consistent....his English hasn't improved!
He seems to know a lot about baseball grading for being a newbie: (from a question on the listing)
<< <i> OKEY I KNOW AM NEW BUT IF YOU GET IT GRADED AND COMES OUT FAKE ILL GIVE YOUR MONEY BACK..BUT YOULL HAVE TO SEND ME A CONFIRATION THAT THE BALL IS FAKE AND THE SAME BASEBALL THAT I SENT YOU AND THE ONLY AUTHENTICATOR ILL WILL TAKE IS PSA/DNA OR ANY TOP COMPANIES. >>
Also, I've taught English as a foreign language abroad. Even his writing "sounds" fake - like he's a native trying to come off as a foreigner.
Someone should ask him why he's willing to part with a ball for a hundred or two that could be worth tens of thousands of dollars.
Also, if he's legit, why doesn't he signup for Paypal?

That ball doesn't look that bad - the one on top is psa/dna - I wouldn't be surprised if that isn't a stolen scan?

If we consider slight variations in everyones sig - if that isn't real - it's a hell of a forgery!
And the guy is tryin too hard to look like he just jumped off the "turnip truck" IMO.
Stolen scan is my guess also.

Sent an e-mail to this yahoo for kicks---
What type of baseball is this? Meaning, what does the label say on the other side of the ball?
Donato
