PSA and card (back) centering

I'm I understanding it correctly that PSA allows up to 90/10 centering on card backs up to a 9? (as long as the front meets the criteria of course). Isn't 90/10 almost a MC?
Also how would a diamond cut on a card back be viewed in this same scenario?

I think it would be highly unfair to take a card that has a 50/50 front and give it a huge ding because back centering was way off. I think PSA often tends to use their judgement in how strict they might be with this criteria from issue to issue....

<< <i>I have several 1976 Topps Football cards with similiar centering as the back of this Plunkett, all of which are unqualified 9's. From what I've seen, they seem to be very lenient on back centering and a little more critical of diamond cuts.

Scott, do you mean critical of diamond cuts on front or back?

I have a 1978 Tony Dorsett card in a PSA 8 holder. Flawless corners, edges, etc. It's only flaws are:
1) wax on the front of the card (which could be wiped off)
2) a slight diamond cut.
I've been mulling over whether or not to crack the card out of it's case, wipe off the wax, and resubmit it. However, if it's the diamond cut that's keeping it away from higher grades, then I shouldn't even bother.

Perfect example is the 77 opc wha hockey. A card with a perfectly centered front but has the copyright line (on the back) 1/2 on top and 1/2 on bottom comes back qualified. Even when no qualifiers are requested.
A miscut is a miscut.
