1970 FB

Can anyone explain why this auction ended so high? Probably two bidders who really wanted the card. I wonder if 1970 FB is finally starting to move.

That card has a pop of 16 to boot. There were more than 2 bidders going at it. 4 were willing to pay $150 plus.

    It's a HOF RC.

The football Hall of Fame Rookie Players set on PSA's Set Registry is very popular.

The high bidder has been snatching up HOF rc's like crazy lately, and paying a significant premium on most all of them. I believe he won the PSA 9 Carl Eller and Paul Krause rc's I was looking at for my sets and paid more than double SMR on them both. I think he also won the PSA 9 ALan Page rc that popped up a few weeks back as well. yakbigham is another one that is chasing a lot of these. There have been some low-pop beauties popping up for the HOF set lately, but I don't have the bankroll that some of these guys do, so I'll just wait.

He has bought 3 cards from me in the past. Hampton PSA 9, Hannah PSA 8 and Delamielleure PSA 8 all rc's.

I guess he is collecting the HOF RC set.

It's pretty easy to figure out who he is by reading the message boards lately. His HOF set is already very impressive.
