I think Seattle will beat Carolina

It will probably will be close, but I think either Seattle or Carolina will beat the AFC team and win the Super Bowl.

  • Once again it seems like things have come full circle. Holmgren had to beat Carolina to make it to his first Superbowl with the Packers. If that happens and Denver also wins, Holmgren will then be facing the team that gave him his last defeat before leaving for Seattle in SB XXXII.

It does not matter who wins in the NFC as the AFC no matter who it is will win.

With the Colts and Patriots gone, I'm not so sure about that now. I think the Super Bowl spread no matter who gets in will be the AFC team -3 1/2 points or less, ie: a probable close game.
  • I think it's the Panther's year.

I would be leaning towards the Panthers as well but losing Foster is really a huge blow, that kid just cant stay healthy nor can any Carolina running back for that matter, I think Pittsburgh has got the best chance. They got a great duo for their running attack and Rothlisberger is leading that team at a high level much quicker than most would have thought. The defense matches up as well as any team still playing and is capable of keeping an offense grounded. I really believe that Pittsburgh has got the best chance at taking the trophy home this year.
  • I'd have to say Carolina will win the whole thing. My guess is they will beat the Seahawks by 9-12 points and the Steelers by 7-9. I'd guess there will be aprox 50 points scored in the NFC Championship game and the same in the Super Bowl.

FYI-Holmgrens last defeat before he went to Seattle was to the 49ers in a playoff game. TO caught a pass at the end to win it for SF.

  • I am not so so sure now. I think the Seattle-Carolina game will be very close. This might be the year of Carolina and Steve Smith. Steve Smith is arguably the best Receiver in the NFL today. At first I wanted Seattle to win but now I am leaning towards Carolina since they beat the Giants and Fox is a former Giants coach. Fox is a great coach and one step behind Bill Belichick. I can live with either Carolina or Seattle winning the Super Bowl. I like to see new teams who have never won it win it. Both beat the Giants this year but the Seattle game the Giants should have won. That is the game that went into OT and Jay Feely missed 3 Field Goals.

It should be a great game. Time for a Bud. image

I with Carolina, they have a chip on their shoulder playing every game on the road and are using that as positive motivation.

So spammy 'thinks' about it and changes his mind to Carolina.

John Fox is one step behind Belicheck? Uhm, what possibly gives you THAT idea?

Haven't seen play much this year so I didn't have a strong feeling one way or another. I wasn't suprised all that much at the outcome as I have seen Carolina lay a couple of eggs this year. For the Steeler to be in the Super Bowl is remarkable given the path they had to take to get there. Let's hope we see a classic in the Superbowl, a lot of interesting side stories going on.
